BISHOPS TV:
Bishop’s TV is a student-led morning broadcast program at Bishop Ludden, airing daily during homeroom. Organized into dedicated “News Teams,” students are responsible for the end-to-end production of the morning announcements. This includes scripting vital school information—ranging from campus activities and faculty announcements to athletic milestones—and filming and editing the content for a next-day air date.
The curriculum is designed to provide a competitive technical edge; students master Final Cut Pro on Mac workstations, mirroring an industry-standard environment. Beyond the technical skills, Bishop’s TV instills a sense of accountability and professionalism, challenging students to meet high-stakes deadlines in a fast-paced media setting. Additionally, the program serves as a premiere platform for showcasing creative projects from the school’s videography courses.
Videography:
At Bishop Ludden-Grimes, students in grades 9–12 can dive into the world of visual storytelling through our Videography program. Our curriculum balances technical mastery with creative vision, providing students access to professional-grade editing software and industry-standard hardware, including DJI Osmo Pocket 3 cameras.
Beyond the gear, students explore the core pillars of cinematography, pre-production planning, and the real-world application of media marketing. The year culminates in our highly anticipated Videography Competition, where students showcase their best music videos, movie trailers, and lip-sync projects. The entire community participates in the voting process to crown the year’s Videography Champion.
