The 31st Annual Patrick T. Mathews Gaelic Knights Open is scheduled for August 3, 2026 at Tuscarora Golf Club in Marcellus.

11:30 AM Registration & Lunch

12:30 PM Shotgun Tee-Off

Entry Fee of $150 Per Golfer Includes: Greens’ Fees, Golf Cart, Lunch before golf, refreshments on the course, one hour Open Bar, hors-d’oeuvers after golf, and buffet dinner

The Bishop Ludden Community and the Gaelic Knights Open Golf Tournament Committee are proud to play our Annual Alumni Golf Tournament in memory of Patrick Mathews. The tournament is the highlight of the summer; over 100 alumni and friends of Bishop Ludden enjoy a day of laughs, camaraderie, and competition. We are grateful to be able to gather once again this summer.

Pat Mathews was not only a former High School State Champion in his days at Ludden, but was also an active committee member and participated in the golf tournament for many years. It is our hope that this tournament will remind everyone of the great contribution that Pat Mathews made to Ludden, to golf and the community in general. His legacy is now our tradition.

All proceeds from the tournament will be donated, in Pat’s name, to fund “hardship” scholarships for current Ludden students. These scholarships make it possible for students, who otherwise would be unable to attend Bishop Ludden, to realize their desire to be a part of our great community.
