Peer Leadership & Campus Ministry
Membership in Campus Ministry is for juniors and seniors who feel the call to leadership and service in the Bishop Ludden-Grimes Community.
A select group of students at Bishop Ludden-Grimes are known as the Peer Ministers. Through an application process, the students are selected to foster and encourage the spiritual growth of the school community. The role of Peer Ministers is to develop activities and programs that facilitate faith formation, including retreats and service projects. Peer Ministers also organize spiritual services and sacraments such as Liturgies, Penance Services and Adoration.
Peer Leaders study theological values, stages of psychological and spiritual development, and motivational techniques. They are expected to be creatively faith-filled while relating appropriately to the age group they’re working with.
Any student interested in being a Peer Minister should contact Mrs. Zallo at mhanson@syrdiocese.org
Each school year, the Campus Ministry Team selects a theme to use as their model throughout the year.
The 2025-2026 theme: “Not me, But God”
This quote is accredited to Saint Carlo Acutis, the patron saint of “the internet”, who was canonized on September 7th, 2025.
Carlo was an ordinary teenager with an extraordinary love for Jesus, especially in the Eucharist. He used his gifts, particularly his talent with computers, to share the faith and point others toward God, not himself. Carlo lived with humility and joy, reminding us that holiness is possible at any age when we put God at the center of our lives. His example encourages us to let our actions, choices, and relationships reflect God’s love, so that everything we do gives glory to Him.
